No news is no news. As you can see from the pie chart I've been doing a lot of thinking and not enough doing. Got some fresh work to upload but just haven't got around to it yet. I've been doing a lot of photography recently, check out my photography site here.

I'm really happy with the way the book turned out. Nice dustjacket on it with a silver foil deboss and emboss on the text. With the exception of the cover image all pages shown here feature my photography too.

Al Ain Airshow

Possible cover for the book. Its all away for client approval at the moment. Been a big job. Still got the Adventure Challenge book to be approved too. Chance are they'll both come back at once. Just what I need.

Dangerous Moments put on a great show. Not exactly what you'd expect at an airshow but great fun. Great bunch of guys too, I got to ride and attempt to take photographs in the back of one of the police cars as is donutted its way down the runway.

Been away boarding in Courcheval which was amazing. Loads of fresh powder.

Back in to the way of things here again. Just about wrapped up the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge book now. It's on it's way to the client for final sign-off. Getting stuck in to the Al Ain Aerobatic Show book now. It's going to be nice, 100 pages of some great photography and comment on the people involved. It's all keeping me very busy though as you can imagine, not much time for my personal work but I've a few things simmering away which I'll get to soon.

In the meantime keep up-to-date with my tumblr and twitter feeds. I'm a bit better at updating them than I am at this.

Al Ain Airshow

Not finished the Adventure Challenge book yet, it's sitting with the client awaiting comments, but have started on the Al Ain Airshow book. Here's my cover concept. Not sure if it will fly (ha ha) but I thought I'd post it anyway. Thinking the baggage ticket could be embossed with a spot UV too.

I'll post some spreads when they're done and pics of the books when they're printed. February is looking pretty frantic with two books to finish, plus I'm off boarding for a week. Yikes.

I did this logo for urbanmole.com last year. The site has now gone live and is a great resource if you live in London. It has everything on there from housing, classifieds, tradespeople, dating to jobs and even the status of the London Tube lines. If you live in London check it out. If you don't, have a look anyway. The site was designed by my mate Stu.

You may have seen over on the main site that I've been working on some new IDs for tweekr. Above is a little peek at where I'm at with it all. New logo, new font. Keeping it very simple, I'm going to work up a new colour way too. I like the starwars-esque R.

I'm about to start work on the ADAC 08 coffee table book. It's going to be big, A3 hardback 80pp. I shot some of the images this year, infact around 3000 of them, got to whittle them down to a select few. My buddy Wouter shot around 15,000 so he's got the harder task I think. Last years book had somewhere in the region of 200 images in it so you can see the massive photo editing job ahead of us. Then I've got to design the thing and get it prepped for the printer. Needless to say January is going to be a busy month, maybe February too!

I'll post some of my selected shots over on the front room pictures site and probably on flickr too. Just give me a wee while to sort through them all.

Went to the Dubai Mall yesterday to check out the fish tank. Pretty impressive size.

The mall also has an olympic sized ice rink. Not getting a lot of use yet.

Then I sailed out to watch the QE2 coming in on her last voyage before being gutted and moored at the Palm. We weren't allowed to get very close.

Not really a design or photography related post but I thought I'd share.

Or should I say no thanks! Just lost all my stuff thanks to an upgrade of wordpress. Very annoying so I've switched back to blogger. Don't know why I switched away in the first place really. I've been using blogger on the front room pictures blog from the get go and had no problems. Anyways, give me a wee while and I'll get some more content up here.
